To eliminate confusion, we’ve rebranded: ✨ Siticone NetFrameworkUI – for .NET Framework 4.8+ ⚡ Siticone NetCoreUI – for .NET 8+

To ensure clarity and eliminate confusion about platform compatibility, we have rebranded our product lines. Previously, some users purchased Siticone WinForms UI (designed for .NET 8) and attempted to activate it on .NET Framework, leading to unnecessary frustration. To resolve this, we now have Siticone NetFrameworkUI for .NET Framework 4.8+ and Siticone NetCoreUI for .NET 8+. This new naming convention ensures that every developer knows exactly which product is meant for their target platform.

The documentation under Net Framework | Net Core UI applies to both .NET Framework 4.8+ and .NET 8+, as they share the same features and capabilities. Mastering one automatically empowers you to work with the other. We promise to continually improve this documentation for the benefit of all developers, both experienced and novice, ensuring a smooth and efficient development journey.

Current Work and Roadmap

Current Focus

We are actively developing two powerful UI libraries for .NET Framework 4.8+ and .NET 8+, positioning Siticone UI as a much-needed solution for modern UI development. Our commitment to continuous improvement is driven by developer feedback, ensuring that we address pain points and streamline the application development process. Every enhancement is made with the goal of delivering the best possible UI experience.

The Road Ahead

Short-Term Goals (Next 12–36 Months) Our immediate focus is on enhancing existing controls with more advanced features and improved performance. We are also creating the next-generation Siticone Charts Libraries for .NET Framework 4.8+ and .NET 8+, leveraging current advanced GPU rendering for high-efficiency visualization.

These libraries will be like no other, with the most advanced rendering, data display features, security and in-built encryption for data sharing.

Mid-Term Goals (3–5 Years) Beyond WinForms, we plan to extend Siticone UI to other frameworks, including MAUI, WinUI, UWP, Blazor Hybrid, ASP.NET, Next.js, Angular, React, and Node.js.

Our vision includes developing mobile and cross-platform UI libraries for Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS), and Switch (gaming platforms), as well as expanding support to Python, Java, and other widely used desktop frameworks. Alongside these advancements, we will introduce additional tools, templates, and plugins to simplify and accelerate UI development.

Long-Term Vision (5+ Years) Our ultimate goal is to establish Siticone UI as the leading UI framework across desktop, web, mobile, and gaming platforms. We aim to provide a unified solution that supports all major programming languages and frameworks, making UI development seamless, efficient, and accessible. With a strong focus on building a developer-friendly ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a community-driven framework where innovation is shaped by real-world feedback.

Theme-Aware Toolkit – Built for Customization and Control

Our Siticone UI controls are designed to be OS theme-aware, enabling real-time tracking of system theme changes. Currently, we support Windows, with plans to expand compatibility to macOS, Ubuntu, Linux, ChromeOS, and more.

To ensure developers have full control over theme management, we have temporarily disabled automatic theme switching while we refine this feature. Rather than enforcing predefined color schemes, we are building a system that allows you to:

Customize UI themes based on Light/Dark mode and OS type
Dynamically apply themes in real time while respecting user preferences
Maintain design consistency without forced theme changes
Adapt seamlessly to both primary and virtual OS environments

This update will give you complete flexibility over theme configuration while ensuring smooth, predictable UI transitions.
